Glassworkers at France’s Arc group have been warned that a glassmaking furnace will remain shut until the end of October.
The furnace at the tableware specialist was idled at the start of the summer due to a drop in household consumption.
Now, unions have been told of the temporary shutdown of one of the nine ovens at the factory in Arques, northern France.
