Arc International UK, a glass and tableware supplier to the UK’s food service industry, has secured funding from Barclays and will go ahead with site expansion plans.
Currently headquartered in Worcester and with offices in Leeds, the funding has enabled the company to buy a site in Pershore (near Worcester).
This new site will allow the company to consolidate its existing three sites into a 292,000sqft single site, providing additional space to increase existing stock and invest in new lines in the future.
This will allow for cost savings, and will help the company in its goal of increasing its market share in the UK and Ireland.
Currently, the company is looking to increase turnover from £20 million to £50 million over the next five years.
The company’s Managing Director Brian Thorpe said: “The new funding from Barclays has assisted with the acquisition of the former polestar site, and this will provide the space for us to relocate all our business into one building and benefit from the cost savings this will bring”.
Arc currently employs over 32 staff and is looking to increase this with an additional 20 roles in Pershore.
