Following on from the Ardagh Group’s recent entry into metal beverage can manufacturing, the company will feature beverage cans alongside its award winning glass packaging at Brau Beviale this year.

Ardagh will also display its beer kegs and aluminium bottles at the show, on Stand 4A/225.

The company’s focus will be geared towards innovation and sustainability, showcasing recent developments that offer all beverage categories a wide choice in packaging solutions.

By being infinitely recyclable without loss of quality, glass and metal packaging are united in their status as permanent materials.

Several examples of this will be on display, and visitors can explore how to maximise sustainability into their brand packaging.

For example, Ardagh is able to offer sculptured embossing – creating sharper images on the surface of a bottle – as well as new decorative finishes such as organic acid etch and sparkle effects and patterns through powdered coating.

Brau Beviale 2016 will be the first opportunity for Ardagh to highlight its expansion in its metal category, which now encompasses a full range of beverage cans, ends and finishes.

Visitors will be able to see how Ardagh’s interactive printing technology – which embeds an invisible unique watermark code in print ready artwork – can add marketing possibilities for brands as well as provide a secure method of anti-counterfeiting.

Brau also sees the launch of Ardagh’s new 3D studio, and among the products on display are Roll on Pilfer Proof (ROPP) screw caps for the aluminium bottles, and a tapping system for beer kegs featuring a smooth, stepless beer stream adjustment.

To support the product portfolio, Ardagh will also highlight its range of beverage can services now offered via its in-house research and development team as well as their filling optimisation experts.
