Ardagh Glass Packaging–Europe has confirmed it is reviewing capacity reductions across some of its glass manufacturing facilities.
The container glass manufacturer said it was in response to market conditions, with lower demand resulting in excess production capacity.
This necessary reduction in capacity is expected to impact approximately 320 employees at its operations in Germany and The Netherlands.
This includes the proposed closure of its Drebkau facilty in Germany.
Ardagh is currently in discussion with management teams and local employee representatives in the affected regions.
Ongoing supply will not be affected by these decisions. Ardagh will continue to service both existing and new customers from its network of facilities across Europe.
