Arglass has begun to heat-up the second furnace at its glass container manufacturing facility in Valdosta, Georgia, USA.

The 495 tpd oxy-fuel furnace started the heat-up process on June 5, 2025.

José de Diego Arozamena, Arglass Chairman and CEO, said: “This milestone reflects our remarkable journey from inception just five years ago.”

Arglass broke ground on the expansion of its Valdosta manufacturing campus in May 2024.

The facility specialises in crafting bottles and jars for the food, beverage, spirits, wine, and beer sectors.

It is expected to be capable of producing more than 350 million sustainable glass containers a year, and will bring approximately 150 jobs to the region.

The expansion received an investment of over $220 million.

Part of the investment includes Artificial Intelligence (AI) -driven production systems and strategic robotics.
