Arglass Yamamura starts Georgia, USA furnace heat up process

Arglass Yamamura has announced the start of its furnace heat-up process at its Georgia, USA site.

All new bottles produced by Arglass will be made with its proprietary glass composition Arglass Biogenic with significantly enhanced sustainability attributes over traditional glass bottles.

Arglass Yamamura is a joint venture partnership between Japan-based Nihon Yamamura Glass Co., Ltd. and Cambium Arglass, a privately-held investment company.

The new container glassmaking site is said to be creating 150 jobs in the local area. Production capacity is 100,000 metric tonnes per year/265,000,000 units per year.
