The 21 global partner companies who make up Automotive Glass Europe (AGE) held their first virtual meeting last week, agreeing a common strategy for global growth in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, writes Marco Moreno, Managing Director of AGE.

During this unprecedented period, every AGE partner has supported their customers and the wider society, going above and beyond to deliver a fast, high-quality service for key worker vehicles ranging from emergency services and couriers, to state bodies and hauliers.

Partners were able to share best practice approaches developed during this period, and agreed they are all now well positioned to face any such future challenges.

The meeting introduced Glass Service, the new AGE Partner for Serbia. We also welcomed the return of Ralarsa, the AGE Spanish representative, and officially announced the nomination of Filum Ho, from Autoboys South Africa, as a board director of AGE.

The international group of AGE partners were updated on the positive negotiations being held with global customers and the position that AGE now holds as a key player in the automotive glass services sector.

A review of the AGE supplier portfolio introduced new partnerships with organisations that help reinforce our commitment to quality, safety and the environment.

New innovations in the AGE digital platform were unveiled, demonstrating how we are developing faster, more efficient methods of serving our international customers in every country where we operate.

This is an important milestone in AGE’s digital strategy and the first step in the development of new applications that will help all AGE partners in the ongoing process of digital transformation.
