Thailand's Bangkok Glass' subsidiary BG Energy Solutions has signed an acquisition agreement for K-One Energy 2 renewable energy company.
This strategic move is an expansion into renewable energy investments, which Bangkok Glass Group said strengthened its business capabilities and advanced its sustainability goals.
The signing ceremony was honoured by Ms. Amarat Puvaveeranin, Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer and CEO of the Renewable Energy Business of Bangkok Glass Group, who highlighted the objectives and significance of the acquisition.
Also attending as witnesses were Mr. Piyasak Bhumichitra, Director of BG Energy Solutions and Mr. Somporn Temudomsomboon, Advisor to BG Energy Solutions.
Representing K-One Energy 2 were Mr. Prasert Thammanoonkul, CEO of parent company Kemrex and the Sutee Group, along with Mr. Pravaruj Thammanoonkul, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Technology, and Mr. Prateep Thammanoonkul, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Operations, Kemrex and the Sutee Group.
This acquisition aligns with BG Group’s long-term sustainability goals and contributes to Thailand’s energy security.
BGE said it remains dedicated to driving clean energy innovations and developing projects that support Bangkok Glass Group’s carbon reduction initiatives.
