According to reports, Bennu Glass is expected to open its new plant based in Kalama, Washington, USA in July 2012.

The glass container manufacturer acquired the assets at the Port location, which was previously owned by Cameron Family Glass Packaging.

“To restart the factory, Bennu will make a significant investment in the existing facility at the Port of Kalama which includes the installation of a new state-of-the-art oxygen-fuel furnace,” said Jerry Lemieux, Chief Executive Officer.

Once at full capacity, it is estimated that the factory will produce more than 100 million wine bottles per year and will serve the wine industry in California, Oregon, Washington and Western Canada.
