Berliner Glas and System Elektronik will combine their expertise in glass processing, bonding, display and touchscreen technology for the development of original equipment manufacture (OEM) of human machine interface (HMI) assemblies, with new methods for optical bonding of the viewing panes and touchscreens.? ?
Visualisation and operating technology, previously available in consumer electronics, has been adapted for use in capital equipment and instrumentation via the use of new touchscreen technologies, enabled through advances in optical bonding. This includes multi-touch, gesture recognition, visibility under bright light conditions and glass front panels that provide hygienic surfaces for medical and clinical applications.
These technologies and manufacturing methods allow robustness and readability, without increased energy consumption in harsh industrial environments.
In the first stage, diagonals from 4.3in to a maximum of 32in will be offered for industrial automation, medical technology, automotive, and POS/POI HMI display applications.? ?“We are ideal partners for the development of these products. Technical knowledge, a first-rate supplier network, and a location with outstanding manufacturing conditions including a clean room environment enable exceptionally high-quality manufacturing,” said Alexander Hildebrandt, Founder and Managing Director of System Elektronik and Dietrich Busch, Managing Director of Berliner Glas, in a statement following the signing of the agreement.
