Potential owners of the Duralex tableware glassworks in France have until December 31st to submit their bids.

The Orléans commercial court will meet on January 6, 2021 to take stock of the offers to take over the glass manufacturing facility, which has been in receivership since September.

Duralex is located in La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin, Loiret in the Orleans area, was placed in receivership on September 23 with an observation period of six months. It employs 248 people.

The glassworks saw its situation worsen with a drop in sales in the hotel and catering sector and the closure of a number of overseas markets as a result of the pandemic.
