Perfumery and tableware glass producer Bormioli Luigi has denied any irregularities after an allegation this week.
The glass manufacturer said it wished to clarify its position regarding the investigation initiated by the Italian Antitrust Authority (AGCM) concerning alleged anti-competitive practices in the wine bottle sector - a sector in which Bormioli Luigi does not operate at all.
The company confirmed its complete non-involvement in any wrongdoing and said it was available to cooperate with the AGCM during the investigation, to provide all necessary information and documentation to clarify its position.
It reaffirmed that it has always operated in compliance with existing regulations, promoting fair competition in the market.
It said: “Bormioli Luigi reserves, in any case, the right to undertake any appropriate legal action to protect its image in the competent courts regarding alleged anti-competitive practices in the wine bottles production sector, a sector in which Bormioli Luigi absolutely does not operate.”
