Italian manufacturer Bormioli Rocco has appointed Riccardo Garré as its Chairman.

Mr Garré has 26 years’ experience across various heavy industries, including glass manufacturing. He is current CEO of European merchant steel bar producer Beltrame Group.

He previously worked at KME Group, a global copper processing company from 2009 to 2014, initially as COO and latterly as CEO. He also chaired of the Board of Directors of KME AG.

He worked at Saint-Gobain for nine years between 2000 and 2009 first as General Manager of the Global Division producing toughened glass for home appliances, then as CEO of Saint-Gobain Glass Italia and finally as General Manager of Saint-Gobain Glass France.

He holds a degree in Physics from University of Pisa and speaks Italian, English and French.
