Technology provider Bucher Emhart Glass has broken ground on a RM108 million (US$24 million) manufacturing facility in Malaysia.

The groundbreaking signifies the start of the construction phase for the new manufacturing facility, which is scheduled to be completed in 2024.

With a built-up area of about 300,000 sq ft, the facility represents a substantial investment by Bucher Emhart Glass to expand its manufacturing capabilities in Southeast Asia.

Integrated industrial space solutions provider AME Elite Consortium broke ground for Bucher Emhart Glass at i-Park@Senai Airport City, three months after signing the initial agreement.

Attendees at the ceremony included Bucher Emhart Glass president Matthias Kümmerle (pictured below) and vice-president Logistics & Manufacturing Juan P.
