Bulgaria’s packaging and recovery organisation Ecopak has announced an investment of over €200,000 in new equipment for its glass recycling installation.
The organisation was set up in February 2004 by 18 Bulgarian and multinational companies who initially invested €1.9 million for its first glass sorting line, which launched in July 2010 in Western Bulgaria.
Ecopak has said the optical sorting equipment, which comes from Italy, will sort glass by colour and improve the purity of the raw materials to 99.5%.
