BW Gestão de Investimentos (BWGI) has become the controlling shareholder of Verallia following a period of public tender offer for the company’s shares.
The Brazilian company will hold nearly 85 million shares in Verallia, representing 70.31% of the glass packaging manufacturer’s share capital and 62.81% of its voting rights.
BWGI are acting as investment managers for Koan V which is a stakeholder in Verallia.
The initial period of the offer, initiated by BWGI, was closed 25 July.
Over 52 million shares were tendered in the offer, allowing BWGI and Koan V to increase their stake in the company.
BWGI intends, to support Verallia’s long-term value by supporting innovation and energy transition.
