Canadian Solar supplies 5.1 MW of modules to French plant

Eosol Energie Nouvelles has placed an order for 5.1 megawatts (MW) of modules from Canadian Solar, for use in its ground-mounted solar plant in La Genetouze, South West France.

A total of 21,560 solar modules have been installed on the 89,300m²plant, nicknamed “Le Petit Chataignier”, which was inaugurated on 22nd September 2011.

Eosol has used the company’s solar modules to equip several other power plants in France to date, including a 10.7 MW plant in Saint-Leger and an 8 MW plant in Villeneuve-de-Marsan, Aquitaine.
