Sisecam’s flat glass output reached 702kt in the second quarter of the year, up by 21% on the corresponding period the year before.
The Turkiye-headquartered group said its Architectural Glass business line demonstrated its resilient positioning in the construction and renovation markets.
“Production growth was driven by the capacity expansion in Turkey given the introduction of a new auto glass-dedicated production line back in Q3’23 and a relatively limited cut in gross pull rates,” it said in its latest financial report.
62% of flat glass output was composed of Turkey-based operations while facilities located in the EU region accounted for 23% of production volume.
Its Russian and Indian operations comprised the rest.
Domestic market sales grew 7% year on year partly due the re-urbanisation efforts put in place following the devastating earthquake in the east of the country in February last year.
