CelSian will host an introductory training course on glass melting technologies later this month.
Four sessions of four hours will take place 21 - 24 February 2023, both online and in-person in Eindhoven, Netherlands.
The time of the course will be confirmed at a later date to ensure that it suits the majority of attendees.
The training will provide an overview of the key processes involved in converting raw materials into a glass melt ready to be delivered to the forming process.
The general description of glass production enables trainees who desire a generic knowledge of glass melting to understand the challenges of glass production.
Upon completing the course, attendees will have a clear view of the main challenges in glass production and how they are linked to raw materials, furnace design, and process settings.
Speakers will include Neil Simpson, Independent Glass Consultant, and Sjoerd Stelwagen, Senior Project Manager for Glass Technology & Equipment at CelSian.
