CelSian to host second expert training course

CelSian will host Expert Training 2: Redox – Fining – Glass quality on 13-14th March 2019 at Etrop Grange Hotel in Manchester, UK.

Following on from the first course in January, CelSian's two-day expert training session is dedicated to understanding the link between redox, fining and glass quality.

This course provides a fundamental understanding of glass (melt) redox state and the impact of redox state on heat transfer, fining, foaming, glass defects (bubbles), and glass colour.

It also presents ways to control redox state by means of batch modifications and changing in furnace operational settings. The target audience includes batch & furnace managers and glass technologists. The trainer will be Anne-Jans Faber.

The total fee is €1950 (each additional company participant: €1800); costs ex travel + hotel expenses. Participants can be invoiced in GBP on request.
