CelSian’s Glass Melting Technologies course originally scheduled in Sheffield, UK this March, has been moved online.
This is partially due to uncertainty faced by the pandemic.
The course will now take place over four mornings from 14 to 17 March.
The training will provide an overview of the key processes involved in converting raw materials into a glass melt ready to be delivered to the forming process.
Dr. Corinne Claireaux, Glass Scientist and Academy Manager, said: “We are hoping that by making [the event] half days and in the mornings, it will offer potential for attendees who are in earlier time zones to attend this introductory training whilst avoiding travel.
I am happy to inform that Sjoerd Stelwagen will be supporting Oscar [Verheijen] and Neil [Simpson] in this training for the first time. We are very pleased to enrich the training course with additional operational experience.”
Starting from the 2nd, CelSian will run a total of six online training courses this March, some of which are available to attend in-person in Eindhoven, Netherlands.
The events vary from refractory maintenance to glass quality, offering courses for both beginners and more advanced learners.
