Dagestan, Russia has started construction of a float glass factory with a maximum daily output of 600 tons.

Plant investor, the Caspian Factory of Float Glass, has begun the project in the village of Tyube, in Russia’s Kumtorkalinsky District, with a land lot of 50 hectares.??

The factory is expected to produce 20% of all float glass in the North Caucasian Federal District and 8% in Russia by 2013.

The project will cost 10.5 billion roubles.??The glass will be exported to Iran, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia and sold in other Russian regions by June 2013.?? Approximately 1500 people will be involved in the 11-year project.
