EME appoints Grant Bailey as Managing Director

Grant Bailey (right) will succeed Jens Rosenthal as Managing Director of glass industry batch provider EME in January.

Grant Bailey will succeed Jens Rosenthal as Managing Director of EME on January 1, 2026.

Mr Bailey has been Technical Director of EME, part of the Sorg Group, since 2015.

He first joined the company as an Area Sales Manager in 2013, having moved to Germany from South Africa.

Sorg Managing Partner Michael Sorg said: “I’m very pleased Grant – a proven expert in the industry – is taking over this key position from Jens.”

Jens Rosenthal, who will be taking his retirement on December 31 , joined EME in 1989 and became MD in 2007.

His senior positions at the company have also included Head Of Technology/Administration, and Head of Sales.

Sorg said: “After 36 years of service, we wish Jens all the best for his well-deserved retirement.”
