Encirc's Lara Edison will discuss the practicalities of Biofuel and Container Glass Manufacturing at the forthcoming Renewable Glass Manufacturing conference.

Ms Edison (pictured) is Encirc's Batch and Furnace Supervisor and is technically responsible for the raw materials and melting activity across Encirc's six container glass furnaces in the UK and Italy.

She will discuss the practicalities & challenges of the glass industry up-taking the use of biofuel in place of fossil fuel combustion – from procurement to execution.

The Renewable Glass Manufacturing conference includes 14 papers focused on sustainability, decarbonisation and renewable energy in glass manufacturing.

Other speakers include Slovenian glass manufacturer Steklarna Hrastnik, which will discuss Carbon Neutral Glass Production, as well as C-Capture which will talk about Decarbonising the glass industry: Carbon capture for challenging flue gases.
