The One World Trade Center’s 408 foot, 758 ton spire has been completed, with EnduroShield glass treatment applied to the exterior side of the glass panels of the Spire which will also be utilised as a broadcast antenna.
The EnduroShield treatment was sprayed onto the glass panels in factory before the glass was installed into the antenna’s steel frame structure. EnduroShield chemically bonds to the glass substrate, transforming the glass into a high performance, hydrophobic surface, and protecting the surface against staining and etching.
