Euroglas Poland has entered into a partnership with Pres-Glas, also of Poland, to operate a state-of-the-art float and coated glass production facility it has built in the country’s commercial zone of Ujazd.
The company, a legally independent subsidiary of Glas Trösch Holding, constructed its fourth and largest float glass plant at Ujazd, at which production started in August 2009. The partner company, Pres-Glas, is thought to be the largest manufacturer of insulating glass in Poland.
As with Euroglas’ three other production sites at Hombourg in Alsace, France and Haldensleben and Osterweddingen in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, the latest plant will also be operated with a partner.
The Ujazd plant is intended to enable Euroglas and its associated partners to strengthen their position in Central Europe. Thanks to the advanced technology installed at the plant, as well as its daily capacity of 1000 tons, Euroglas says it is well-equipped to respond to the market demand of Poland and Eastern Europe, as well as that of Southern and Northern Europe.
