European glass societies DGG and USTV have created an international open access journal, which will be completely free of charge for authors and readers.

The societies partnered with European glass scientists and technologists to create the journal, titled Glass Europe.

The main objective of the journal is to provide a cost-free, easy-to-operate and timely-publishing service, for high quality novel research and technological developments in glass.

Potential topics include - but are not limited to – physics, chemistry, properties, structure, applications, sustainability, forming, recycling, quality and history of glasses, glass-ceramics and melts.

Glass Europe will publish results of original research, as well as reviews and perspective articles.

The journal is supported by a team of 26 editorial members from 13 European countries, who are committed to open science and are ready to receive submissions via this link.

DGG and USTV aim for the journal to be listed in Web of Science within the next 2-3 years.

Glass Europe is published by Deutsche Glastechnische Gesellschaft e.V. (DGG) and Union pour la Science et la Technologie Verrières (USTV).
