EveryWare to produce glassware line for Walmart

EveryWare Global is to invest $1.8 million to expand capacity at its Beaver County plant, to produce a new line of “Made in the USA” glassware for Wal-Mart.

EveryWare was formed with the merger of Anchor Hocking LLC and Oneida Ltd. in March 2012.

EveryWare of Lancaster, Ohio, will make a new product line, Mainstays Canning Jars, for Wal-Mart at its 400-employee plant, replacing imported products.

Wal-Mart held a U.S. Manufacturing Summit in August in Orlando, Fla., with 500 suppliers and government officials to discuss increasing US domestic manufacturing.
