Excelsius has appointed Stephan Lohn as its new Managing Director.
He will take over the role on September 1st, 2024.
He has more than 23 years of experience in the refractory and glass industries. He studied for five years at RWTH Aachen University and is a Graduate Engineer in Materials Technology.
Since graduating, Stephan has worked in several companies as Sales Manager and Managing Director including RHI Glass and PD Refactories, focussing on a Global Customer base.
In the first few weeks and months, he will take the opportunity to try to get to know all of the company’s staff and customers personally and to develop an understanding of the various processes and services within Excelsius.
The Glasstec trade fair at the end of October offers a good opportunity for Stephan to make initial contact with customers.
In addition to his role as managing director, Stephan will coordinate the Excelsius sales team and take over daily tasks from Frank Schwarzenau.
Advancing technology, the increasing importance of sustainability and the changing needs of customers will be among his focuses.
