Fenzi to acquire Johnson Matthey glass business

Italian chemical specialist Fenzi will acquire Johnson Matthey’s (JM) Advanced Glass Technologies (AGT) business.

AGT provides glass enamels and precious metal pastes globally, focusing on the automotive sector in particular.

Fenzi’s CEO, Alessandro Fenzi, commented how delighted the company was to welcome AGT to its organisation:

“AGT’s leadership in glass enamels for the automotive and industrial sectors fits perfectly with our strategy to be the largest and most complete partner for the glass industry worldwide.

“This partnership brings new innovative technologies to our global customer base. We believe that AGT’s growth will be enhanced under the Fenzi Group.”

The acquisition is expected to close in spring 2022.
