Forglass will discuss decarbonisation technologies at this week’s AFGM conference in Bali, Indonesia.
Its CEO and founder, Piotr Knast, was set to share his vision for decarbonising glass production and present some of his company’s innovations to manufacturers from the South-East Asian region at the AFGM conference today (Wednesday).
He said the company s is poised to revolutionise the glass industry once again with its new furnace bearing the name F.F.F.F.F.F (Forglass Furnace Fit For Fifty Five).
The details will be revealed by the company at the Glasstec event next month.
The company has a history of technologies which focus on decarbonisation.
This includes its Vibe and Smartscraper technologies from its batch plant division.
In 2022, Forglass Technology’s furnace division introduced a new approach to designing a hybrid furnace with its proprietary Mixing Electrodes.
These accelerate and provide better control of the melting process, and also allow for unprecedented proportion of electric energy that can be optimally distributed in the various zones of the melting tank.
It means the technology developed by Forglass allows furnace operators to convert their existing, gas-fired furnaces into hybrids with as much as 80% share of electric energy.
