Several French glass manufacturers could be eligible for financial aid from a regional government.

The Normandy region in Northern France is committing €30 million to help industrial companies with rising energy costs.

The region is one of the most industrial in France and is home to several glass manufacturers in the famous Bresle Valley.

These include Verescence, Saverglass, Pochet du Courval, Zignago Vetro Brosse and Waltersperger.

It also includes technology suppliers such as bottle decorators, mould makers and carriers.

The so called Energy Pack will help businesses whose cash flow is jeopardised by rising energy costs. It is expected to be launched later today.
