Three exerts will discuss the future of furnaces in glassmaking during a webinar.
The use of hydrogen as a glassmaking fuel, and the use of refractory and engineering of a glass furnace are among the topics during next week's free seminar.
Speakers during the 60-minute webinar will be Stuart Hakes, CEO of FIC UK, Dr Jorg Leicher, Teamleader, at the Gas- und Wärme-Institut (GWI) Essen, and a joint presentation from Shinji Yamamura and Xuqing Xie, both of AGC Ceramics.
Dr Leicher will provide a paper titled HyGlass - Hydrogen utilisation in the glass industry as a pathway to decarbonization.
The AGC Ceramics presentation is titled Refractory and Engineering on Glass Melting Furnace.
