Fuyao plots $16M US glass processing facility

Chinese automotive glass supplier Fuyao Glass is plotting to construct a US-based processing facility in South Carolina.

Fuyao Glass America, a venture of China-based Fuyao Glass Industry Group, plans to launch a processing facility in South Carolina, USA.

The auto glass manufacturer will establish the 182,000ft2 facility in Fountain Inn, South Carolina.

The company's $16.1 million investment is projected to create 70 jobs.

The facility in Greenville County, will include light production capabilities, according to a press release from Fuyao. The group already has a glass manufacturing facility in Dayton, Ohio.
