The German Glass Industry Association (BV Glas) is expanding its management structure.
In the future, Ulrike Aldenhoff and Dorothée Richardt will support Managing Director Christiane Nelles in additional areas of responsibility.
The association is strengthening its strategic and professional positioning in the face of growing political and economic requirements.
Ulrike Aldenhoff will take on additional management tasks as an authorised representative.
In this function, she will be able to represent BV Glas internally and externally in the future.
In terms of content, she will continue to be responsible for environmental issues and will also be responsible for resilience, security and defence.
In this way, the association is expanding its expertise in topics that are becoming increasingly important for the glass industry.
Dorothée Richardt takes over as Managing Director of Container Glass.
In this role, she will further develop the political advocacy of the container glass industry and strengthen the positioning of glass packaging in current regulatory and market-related debates.
At the same time, she will continue to be responsible for the communication of BV Glas and the Glass Packaging Action Forum.
Christiane Nelles, Managing Director of BV Glas, said: "The topics for the glass industry are not becoming fewer, but more complex.
"It is therefore logical to position ourselves more broadly, to show more presence and to bring our different professional perspectives even closer together,".
The Federal Association of the Glass Industry represents the economic interests of the glass manufacturing industry in Germany.
These include the areas of flat, container and commercial glass, glass fibres, special glass as well as glass processing and finishing.
The industry includes around 360 companies with around 51,000 employees.
Total sales in 2025 amounted to around €10.7 billion ($11.5 billion).
