Pharmaceutical glass packaging manufacturer Gerresheimer has been removed from Germany's SDax small-cap index.
Its stock was removed after the company failed to present its annual accounts for the 2024/25 financial year (ended at the end of November) within the regulatory four-month deadline.
Gerresheimer's dismissal was expected. For several months, the group has been under pressure due to doubts about its accounting.
The financial supervisory authority BaFin accused Gerresheimer of balance sheet errors.
An audit firm is currently reviewing transactions in 2024 and 2025 and their accounting. These investigations are expected to delay the closing of the annual accounts until June.
The company has postponed its Q1 2026 results and an Annual General Meeting originally scheduled for early June indefinitely.
