The Otto Schott Research Award honours outstanding scientific achievements in the field of international glass research every two years.
The €25,000 award is aimed at renowned researchers and was bestowed for the first time in 1991.
Candidates who can provide references of their scientific achievements in fundamental research and/or technology development in the areas of glass and related advanced materials, components and systems in the fields of optics and electronics, solar power, health and living are welcome to apply for the Otto Schott Research Award 2014.
The deadline for submitting applications to the Donors´ Association for the Promotion of Humanities and Sciences in Germany, Barkhovenallee 1, 45239 Essen (Heidhausen), Germany, either by traditional mail or e-mail is July 31, 2013.
