Czech technology supplier Glass Service has appointed Marc Russo as its General Manager.
Sefpro completed the acquisition of Glass Service, including F.I.C. UK and FlammaTec, on April 2, 2024.
To facilitate the integration, Marc Russo has been appointed as General Manager of the Glass Service entities.
Mr Russo brings 20 years of experience with Sefpro, as Global Supply Chain Director and as Plant Director.
He also has prior experience as General Director of a company comparable in size to the Glass Service group.
Mr Russo will be supported by the former Glass Service management team in their new roles: Josef Chmelar as Technical and Innovation Director, Petr Chmelar as General Secretary, Erik Muijsenberg as Commercial Director, and Glenn Neff as Sales Director of GS USA.
The acquisition will offer solutions throughout the lifecycle of a glass furnace.
Glass Service said this would enable its customers to better manage their energy consumption and refractory performance, supported by supervisory smart model-based software with AI, thus helping to control and reduce emissions.
