Glass Service Czechia and CQ Masso led a glass defects and refractory training session for attendees of Sisecam’s International Glass Conference in Istanbul, Turkey in November.

The expert training took place on Wednesday 20th November and was provided by Martina Jezikova, Filip Janos and Jerome Canaguier, who focused on the analysis and possible sources of glass defects as well as refractory defects and quality control.

Over 50 visitors attended the training, who wanted to learn more about where glass defects may come from.

The main Conference itself was attended by 500 visitors, interested in learning more about sustainable glass production from all over the world.

At the end of the Conference, Managing Director of F.I.C. Christoph Jatzwauk and Glass Service Vice President Erik Muijsenberg closed the session with presentations.

They spoke on how renewable energy in combination with hybrid melting concepts using more electric energy in the glass melting process can reduce CO2 emissions and save the planet while producing glass products.
