A glass worker has died after a tragic incident at a container glass manufacturing facility in Argentina.

The man, Elvio Dalto, was working at the Rigolleau glass facility in Berazategui, Buenos Aires when a truck of sand was unloaded on top of him on Wednesday last week.

He reportedly died of asphyxiation.

His heartbroken son took to social media to pay tribute to his father, who also had two other children aged seven and four.

Posting on X (formerly Twitter) as @SoyDalto, he also complained about safety measures at the glass facility.

Police officers and scientific police attended the scene. Functional Instruction and Trial Unit (UFI) No. 7 is carrying out an investigation.
