The first conference speakers for the Glassman Italy event next year have been confirmed.
Under the theme 'Can Decarbonisation and Digitalisation reignite the glass industry?', the conference aims to explore how sustainable-focused, technologies can enhance glass production efficiency.
These technologies, combined with the rise of digital technology and the use of AI, have the power to transform the glass sector.
The first speakers are both from Italy.
Falorni Tech will explore how innovations in plant infrastructure will modernise the glass industry.
The company’s Francesco Prosperi, Technical Director (pictured above), will discuss how innovation in infrastructure is a key driver for the development and sustainability in all physical and digital networks.
In an energy intensive and complex arrangement like a glass plant, the full integration of equipment technology and automation in the utilities infrastructure allows the control, monitoring and development of operations.
This in turn leads to benefits in terms of efficiency, safety, reliability and sustainability.
