Lars Wismer will become the Director of glasstec, a leading trade fair for the glass sector, as of December 1, 2022.
Mr Wismer will also manage the A+A international trade fair for safety, security, and health at work.
As Director, Mr Wismer will be responsible for the international Glass Technologies portfolio with the glasspex and glasspro trade fairs for the Indian market.
He will also be in charge of the international Occupational Safety & Health portfolio including the TOS+H, CIOSH and OS+HA trade fairs.
He said: “I look forward to being back on board at Messe Düsseldorf again and to working with a strong team to further expand the leading position of the two leading trade fairs and the international portfolios.”
Mr Wismer worked as a Senior Project Manager at Messe Düsseldorf for 16 years.
In addition, he has extensive experience in the management and marketing of large, international events.
Most recently, he was in charge of D. SPORTS events, sales, PR, communication, and marketing as the Executive Director of Sports at D. LIVE.

The next glasstec will be held at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre in Germany from 22 to 25 October 2024.
