Glaston has delivered its 1,500th Unit’Assembler insulating glass unit (IGU) assembly machine to AGC Glass Europe in the Czech Republic.
The Type ZPG-V machine will be used by AGC Glass Europe to produce insulating glass units for the fire-resistant glass Pyrobel-T.
Glaston supplies equipment, services and solutions to the architectural, mobility, solar and display industries.
Jens Mayr, EVP Solutions & Operations at Glaston, said: “The delivery of the 1,500th Unit’Assembler is a strong sign of our customers' confidence in the quality and performance of this machine.
“Especially in a highly competitive market such as insulating glass production, process reliability, productivity and consistently high quality are decisive factors.”
The Unit’Assembler can precisely align glass panels using a lifting beam at the lower running level and a fixed stop at the front edge, ensuring uniform compression of units regardless of thickness.
The machine also includes a calibrated gas sensor that continuously monitors the gas filling process, to maintain consistent gas quality.
It can also be equipped with a synchro gas-filling function, enabling triple IG units to be filled in the same amount of time as double IG units.
The Unit’Assembler processes standard rigid and flexible spacers and can also enable production of extra-long IG units in a two-stage process.
Its working height of up to 3.30m and workable length of up to 5.00m is designed for manufacturers reliant on high flexibility and futureproofing.
