Glaston brought a law suit against Northglass (Shanghai Northglass Technology Industrial Co Ltd.) in Hamburg, Germany, for infringing its European patent EP-679613 relating to bending and tempering.
The court gave its decision on 22 May 2014 and it became legally binding on 28 July 2014.
According to the decision Northglass infringes the patent and the court ordered Northglass to refrain from offering, placing on the market or using the infringing products in Germany as well as importing such product for those purposes.
A similar decision was issued against Northglass for the same patent in Canada in 2010. In addition there is a judgement against Northglass in favour of Glaston for patent infringement in the UK in 2006.
