All glass jars and bottles manufactured and available in the North American marketplace between January and December 2021 are eligible for the 2022 awards.
All submissions must be entered by 31 May 2022. See submission guidelines and categories here.
Experts from the food and beverage industry (as well as lifestyle, design and packaging professionals) will make up an independent judging panel.
Each submission will be judged on four criteria: innovation, package design, shelf impact and how well the packaging tells the story of the brand or product.
Since 1989, the CCAs have honoured consumer product goods (CPG) manufacturers in North America, making it the only awards programme of its kind.
Scott DeFife, President of GPI, said that the association was excited to highlight dynamic and thoughtful designs in the glass packaging industry:
“After the success of last year’s revival of the awards, we’ve decided to go full steam ahead and continue with our momentum of highlighting innovators in the glass industry. We look forward to seeing this year’s submissions and to celebrating the beauty of glass packaging.”
GPI also said it was ecstatic to bring back the programme as its global partners celebrate the International Year of Glass.
The 2022 CCA winners will be announced this autumn, and will be showcased in a variety of digital and print media.
