Grenzebach Maschinenbau, founding company of the Grenzebach Group, recently celebrated its 50 years in business, inviting all members of staff to join the festivities at its headquarters in Hamlar, Germany.
In an address to the company, entitled ‘Grenzebach: Yesterday, today, tomorrow’, Chief Executive Officer Bernd Minning charted the history of the business, which started in 1960 with just seven employees. Today, the Grenzebach Group is a global name, with a workforce of 1500 spread across three continents and a worldwide network of sales and service agencies.
The company’s core business is glass, supplying equipment for basic glass, thin film transistor (TFT) glass and solar panel glass manufacture. It also has a building materials unit, which represents its second major field of activity, supplying manufacturing lines for producers of insulation materials, and a general industry division focusing on intralogistics, baggage handling and the automotive industry.
