The former Managing Director of EME, Egbert Wenninger, has been appointed by Grenzebach Maschinenbau as its chief sales officer.
Egbert Wenninger first started his career with Grenzebach in 1995 as Project Engineer for the glass technology sector and in 2005 he became a Member of the Executive Board and Vice President Sales Glass Technology.
He stayed with Grenzebach until 2012 before he left the company to work at EME Maschinenfabrik.
The Electrical Engineering and Information Technology graduate engineer has returned to Grenzebach as Chief Sales Officer (CSO) and he is also taking over responsibility for Head of Marketing and Service group-wide.
“I look forward to tackle the new challenges a broadened area of responsibility brings. Grenzebach has grown since 2012 and added new, interesting market segments to the technology portfolio.
Just think of the innovative Automated Guided Vehicle systems for intralogistics applications, the production technology for storage batteries or the energy-efficient friction stir welding technology for joining different materials with high weld and surface quality,” said Mr Wenninger.
Mr Wenninger's previous activities in the batch plant segment and melting technology segment allow him to share glass production know-how with all Grenzebach customers.
He also remains a member of the Forum Glass Technology in the German Engineering Federation VDMA.
