Horn Glass has received an order to repair the cold repair of Stoelzle Oberglas’ furnace 2 at its plant in Koeflach, Austria.
The order was to repair the 93.75 m² end fired furnace with six forehearths for the production of container glass.
Once repaired the plant will produce 270 tonnes of flint glass per day.
The existing furnace will be enlarged by Horn and equipped with new heating equipment and safety control.
Furthermore, it will be equipped with a new melting boosting system, a new HVR 700F-2P batch charger and further furnace equipment.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, shortly after the order was placed, the first video conference for coordination talks with Stoelzle Oberglas regarding the cold repair took place.
