Germany’s ilis has installed its 100th StrainScope real time polarimeter.
The 100th installed instrument is a StrainScope S4/20 cord tester for Vidrieras Canarias, in Las Palmas, Spain (part of the Verallia group) and is used to perform fast and easy measurement of cord stresses close to production.
A steadily growing worldwide customer base appreciates the reliable and operator-independent instruments of the StrainScope series, which are optimised for various stress measurement tasks.
The robust housing and user-friendly software interface make the StrainScope a versatile and reliable tool for industrial quality assurance and process optimisation.
Also available in the hollow glass product range are the StrainScope S3/180 for objective and quick measurement of annealing stress and the StrainScope S3/30 immersion polarimeter for measurement of wall stresses in thermally strengthened tableware.
Henning Katte, Managing Director of ilis: “The whole team at ilis is proud of the StrainScope’s technical and commercial success. We thank all customers and partners for the excellent business relationships and we are looking forward to expand this in the following years. ”
The excellent performance of the StrainCam polarisation camera, developed by ilis and used in all StrainScopes, also allows exciting new products in the field of inline stress measurement, for example the new StrainScanner for continuous 100% monitoring of residual stress in flat glass.
