Iris Inspection Machines has gained Environmental Management Systems compliance for its glass container inspection equipment production unit at Venissieux, Lyon, France.
It received ISO 14001 certification , the International Standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
ISO 14001 is the principal management system standard that specifies the requirements for the formulation and maintenance of an EMS.
The commitments required in an environmental policy that meets the requirements of ISO 14001 are Prevention of pollution, Compliance with legislation and continual improvement of the EMS.
Iris managing director Jean-Luc Logel, said he was pleased the inspection company had been successful in making the important commitment to sustainability.
“As a supplier to the glass industry, environmental responsibility is one crucial aspect of our overall sustainability programme,” he confirmed.
